Milan, Italy · 1918
Price Upon Request
A finely crafted Italian violin bearing an interior label identifying Romeo Antoniazzi of Cremona and stating that the instrument was made at the workshop of Leandro Bisiach in Milan in 1918.
The instrument displays a warm golden-brown varnish, strongly figured maple to the back, ribs and neck, and an elegant traditional Italian form. The back shows particularly attractive horizontal flame, while the scroll and pegbox retain a warm golden character that complements the body varnish.
The interior label reads:
“Antoniazzi Romeo Cremonese fece presso Leandro Bisiach Milano l’anno 1918”
