Italian Violin, Piero Parravicini Label

Bovisio, Italy · 1920

Price Upon Request

A finely crafted Italian violin bearing a handwritten interior label for Piero Parravicini, identifying him as a student of the Antoniazzi tradition and dating the instrument to 1920 in Bovisio.

The instrument presents a warm amber to reddish-amber varnish, a graceful Italian outline, and attractive figure to the maple of the back, ribs, and neck. The back shows elegant horizontal flame, while the neck displays lively figuring that complements the overall character of the instrument. The front has a clean, refined appearance with a warm golden-amber glow and a balanced, classical feel.

The interior label appears to read:

“Piero Parravicini” “Allievo Antoniazzi” “Bovisio l’anno 1920”
