A German violin bearing an interior label reading “Manufactured by Baader & Dürrschmidt.”
The instrument presents a warm amber to reddish-brown varnish, a finely grained spruce top, and a strongly figured two-piece maple back with lively horizontal flame that continues through the ribs and neck. The overall form is elegant and traditional, with dark rosewood fittings and an ornamented bridge.
The interior label reads:
“Manufactured by Baader & Dürrschmidt”
