This vintage viola bears an interior label reading ‘Guido Pascoli e seus discípulos, S. Paulo, 1957 (Brasil), Nº 71.’ The instrument features a warm reddish-brown varnish, a finely grained spruce table, and a strongly figured maple back with pronounced horizontal flame. The ribs and neck show complementary figure, giving the viola a rich and distinctive visual character.
